Founder and Program Director, of Deliverance Day Ministries, Inc. DBA Recovery Life
Network, Recovery Life Ministry. Recovery Radio, talk show Host. Weekly broadcast via Blog Talk Radio, every Tuesday at 12 noon.
Started Ministry in June of 2003. I am a recovered addict myself, my objective is to help
other addicts overcome their addiction through mentoring as a Peer Recovery Advocate and Spiritual counseling as a licensed Minister.
I believe the only way to complete recovery is to address the spiritual aspects of our
beings, we are Spirits, we have a soul and we live in a body. We are spiritual beings living a human experience. Our physical bodies can overcome addiction, once all these aspects are
My life took a downward spiral after the death of my 9-year-old daughter. Joi was diagnosed
with cancer at the age of 7. After 2 years of treatment, Surgery, chemo, radiation and finally hospice she lost her battle. Her death was devastating for me and my family. The death of your child is
the most excruciating pain, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Rather than grieve and except the reality, I turned to drugs, self-medicating will only mask the issue. The problem will still be
there after the high is gone. I finally sought treatment and therapy via the VA medical system, as a veteran I received counseling in a 90-day residential program, at Perry Point. I knew even after
that, I needed more, they didn’t have a pill for a broken heart. There isn’t a chemical solution for a spiritual problem. I sought God as I realized that only a power greater than myself could
restore me to sanity. After having a spiritual awaking, I was able to go through the grieving process and accept what God had allowed. I started going back to church and seeking after God’s purpose
for my life. After her death, I became homeless, lost everything I owned, ended up living in a shelter with my son for a whole year. During that time, I went back to school to become a substance
Everything began to fall in place and my life and possessions were restored, along with my
sanity, and then my sobriety. Five years after that while attending classes, I went in my son’s room one morning to wake him up for school and found him dead. He was 16 years old, It was at this
point I cried out to God for help, because I knew if He didn’t help me, I wouldn’t make it. Getting high again was not an option!
I am grateful to God for his mercy, my son wasn’t shot, killed by police or murdered, or
killed in some horrible accident. But he’s still dead and I had to come to terms with that, facing the reality and dealing with life on life’s terms. Life will come at you hard and fast, you have to
maintain a sober mind, so with a broken heart once again, I decided to praise my way through the pain. I’m here today because god kept me, I’m alive today, only because of his grace and His mercy, He
held me close so I wouldn’t let go, and I wouldn’t give up. Recovery Life Ministry is an outreach ministry. God gave me the vision and the desire to reach out too other who are sick and suffering, in
recovery or treatment or seeking recovery. I strive only to give back what was so freely given to me.
I became a licensed Minister, in the hope of reaching out to people. Like myself. The
outcast, the lost, the rejected, these are the people Christ came to save. Christ is our only hope! He is the Hope of Glory, He came deliver us from any addiction or habit, restore our minds and heal
our broken hearts. He did that for me, and He will do it for anyone who comes to Him for help. If you call on Him, He will answer and show you great and mighty things, He will show you and give you a
purpose for your life. Surrender is the key; we can’t obtain or maintain sobriety on our own.
My prayer is to reach out to others and be a blessing through sharing my life experiences
strengths and hopes.
You are, we are, valuable to God and worthy of recovery. God loves us and wants us to be
healed set free and delivered.
We can and we do recover, and so can you!
